Whew, it's been a while since... Well, anything has gone on here! I just wanted to see how ya'll are doing. The wife and I are throwing a little shindig this weekend which means I get the daunting task of shopping for beer. Woe is me ;) Anyway, the real good news is that next weekend I'm heading to Brauerei Heller Trum in Bamberg to sample the Lentbier. From what I've read it's brewed with a mixture of their signature Rauchmalz and an un-smoked Pilsner malt. It's only available between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday and only on cask at the brewery (though I think they do import kegs to the states). I'll let you all know how that goes. That's all for now. Prost!

Friday the 13th here in the land of Beir, Cheese and Sausage brough my family and I to the Kettle Morrainne State Forest to recon and hike a section of the connector trail only to discover that there's still too much snow to really get a good flowy ride together this valentine's day weekend. After a lovely dinner in Elkhorn, I stopped at Frank's and bought this wonderful Weisse Bier. I give it 5 stars! Perfect Score!

I've got an empty rack of Aventinus and another rack of misc. empties that I'm taking back to the Getraenkemarkt on my lunch break. If I come back with anything good, I'll let you all know.

Hi reddomino - once before you die, you have to visit Kloster Andechs. The beerhall there is awesome! Welcome on board!

Is it at least an American representation of German style? Personally, I love Dortmunder Gold from Great Lakes. A fantastic brew!

Nice beering! I can't really speak here, cuz I'm drinking an american brew (bows out un-gracefully)

I just finished a bottle of Andechser Berg Bock Hell from Kloster Andechs while watching "My Name is Bruce". Good beer and a B-movie, what more could you ask for?
