Yeah, sometimes we play rock, paper, scissors to see who drinks the contents of the drip tray. Thankfully one of our friends has adopted an "always shoot scissors" philosophy.

The Extreme Beer Fest is a lot of fun. You have to go with an open mind, since every booth will have something that is "pushing the envelope" of what beer is. You get some great conversations going with other tasters, booth personnel, and head brewers.

Dudes, great picts on your system...looks like you have it going. What was the Extreme Beer Fest like? We just had Fred Fest here, it's to honor Fred Eckhart on his birthday(84th). I'm putting together a Sour Beer Festival in late October here in Portland West. If you make it out here, let's heft a pint.

Adam at BeerBits2 started an event to build up the community of homebrewing bloggers. It's called "Fermentation Friday" and it is held on the last Friday of the month. The details of this web event are simple:

  • The host site defines a theme

  • Fellow homebrewin' bloggers write about the theme
