About Me:
I enjoy brewing all grain beer on a regular basis. I have two drinkable recipes with a third in the works. I vint wine, meads and melomels as well... although I'm not quite sure how to pronounce melomel they are quite tasty to drink.

Every brewing publication I open lately I am reminded of the high price and shortage of hops and grains. Even a recent visit to New York City and to the insanely crowded Brooklyn Brewery on a Saturday had signs posted that read due to a 400% increase in hop price and a 150% increase in grain price left them with no choice but to raise beer prices. I was thinking about doing that for when I did promotions, but doing making one for my members to enlist people is a great spin on the idea. I'm marking that the first to-do for 2008. Thanks for the great idea!
