Thanks for the welcomes! I'm still exploring, but this space looks really great for hanging out with like-minded beer fans. I will do my part to by adding some content and also hanging around to field any questions about the Portland beer scene. If you're planning a visit out this way, let me know and I can give you the "don't miss" list depending on the amount of time you'll be in town.
Despite my initial fears, I pushed portlandbeer.org onto myspace as a way for the site to extend into a socializing atmosphere. I should have listened to my instincts, because it's the trashiest, worst-looking, horrible atrocity on the Internet. It met none of my needs (unless I wanted tons of webcam stripper friends), so I'm really glad that this place exists. Great people with a singular goal: enjoying beer through all mediums.
Glad to be aboard!
Cheers!
Matt

Hey Matt, First off thanks for joining. Second, I went back to your site and snooped around and wow it is such an awesome beer destination. Great design and flow of info. Anyway, we're happy to have you here participating as much as you feel comfortable. What you've done so far has been great. The pics are awesome and it is always great to have more well informed voices in the community. I'd love to grab one of your feeds in your RSS box if you are down. That way users here can get a preview of what you're posting on your site and jump over there to check out your great content. If you have any questions or are curious what it looks like check out Bryon's profile. Anyway, thanks again for joining and Cheers!

About Me:
I run www.portlandbeer.org to promote our city's great beer resources. The site runs news, exclusive articles, photography, beer and brewery lists and tools, RSS feeds, and has a lot of other info related to the Portland beer scene.
I went to Bridgeport Brewery in downtown Portland for a media preview of the Hop Czar. I had a few at the tasting and just got back from a friend's place where a few of us paired it up with the Bridgeport IPA. Verdict: Damn Awesome! It's part of their limited release Big Brew series, so their only available in 22oz bottles.
Hey!
I just posted another installment in my Portland Brewery Photography series. I met up with Brewmaster Cam O'Conner and followed him around while he brewed a batch of Inversion IPA. This new set is here.
